Hello! My name is Tyler, I am from the suburbs of Seattle, Washington. I attend University of North Dakota (UND), located in chilly Grand Forks, North Dakota. It is quite different from Seattle! At UND, I study commercial aviation, in hopes to someday be a professional pilot for an airline. I am also pursuing a minor in atmospheric sciences. In my spare time, I enjoy playing and listening to music, snowboarding, and volunteering.
I have wanted to visit Australia since I was in middle school. When the opportunity presented itself to attend University of South Australia (UniSA) in beautiful Adelaide, South Australia, I knew I couldn’t pass this opportunity up. I applied to both UND’s study abroad office and UniSA’s international student program. I was graciously accepted by both and now I am living out my dream of visiting Australia!
In addition, I applied for a position as a representative for UND’s international programs office as a blogger. I was offered a spot on the team, and am proud to have found yet another way to represent my home university. Go green!
The main purpose of this blog is to not only show friends and family what I am up to, but to inspire; I want a fellow student to see my adventures and think ‘Yes, studying abroad is right for me,’ or ‘This is something I want to do as well.’ I aim to provide a well-rounded view of my day-to-day life while abroad.
Between classes, studying, exploring, and meeting new friends, I hope you enjoy reading my blog and viewing my journey as I attend UniSA!
